LMS – Game 3 – Round 1

Welcome to Game 3 of the season! We have 91 players in this game – including a couple of new players – so a prize pot of £455 for this game. Nine different teams have been picked in this round – two of them in the same game so we are guaranteed to lose someone in the 1st round!

This game starts with a Friday night game as there is a west London derby as Chelsea play Fulham at Stamford Bridge – Andrew Carter, Jenny Rothwell and Neil Metcalf have picked the loadsamoney club.
On Saturday, in the lunch time game, Everton will be hoping for a new manager bounce as they face the league leaders Arsenal at Goodison Park – Allan Jones, Kenny Rogers and Shaun Magee are keeping faith in the Gunners though! In the 3pm games, a Midlands derby sees Aston Villa entertain Leicester at Villa Park – Billy Mackintosh, Lee Abbott, Linda Beaumont and Owen Donnelly have picked Villa. Brentford welcome Southampton to the Gtech Community stadium – eight players have picked the Bees but John Munro fancies the Saints, meaning someone will exit after this game. Brighton face Bournemouth at the Amex – thirty-nine players have picked the Seagulls. I was hoping common sense would prevail and no-one would pick Liverpool but Steve Rogers has picked the Reds to beat Wolves at Anfield! Manchester United host Crystal Palace at Old Trafford – twenty-four players have picked United to win this one. In the tea-time game, Newcastle will be in a buoyant mood after getting to the cup final as they take on West Ham at St James’ Park – eight players have picked the Magpies.

Deadline for Round 2 will be noon on FRIDAY 10th February. A note around Round 4 – the Carabao Cup final is now confirmed as Manchester United v Newcastle United so their games are now postponed for that round. Bear that in mind when making your picks for Rounds 2 & 3 (assuming you get through!) as you won’t be able to pick either of them teams in Round 4, along with their opponents – Brentford and Brighton (unless they rearrange them for the following midweek).
