LMS RULES

1. Each week you must pick a Premier League team that you think will WIN their game.
2. If your team wins their game then you are through to the next round.
3. If your team draw or lose their game then you are OUT of the competition.
4. Each week you must either send your chosen team by email to martin.grierson@gmail.com
5. Selections must be submitted by noon on a Friday, unless stated otherwise in the previous update.
6. If you do not select a team by the nominated deadline, or in the event of you nominating a team that you have already used, you will be assigned the lowest alphabetic ordered team in the table, that you have not previously selected. For clarity, order is:
Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Burnley, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham, Liverpool, Luton Town, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, Tottenham, West Ham, Wolves

The pot cannot be won by winning with a default selection. In such an event, the person still standing would play an additional round and would need to win that next round to take the pot. Failure to win that round would result in the pot rolling over to the next game.
7. You may not pick the same team to win more than once during the competition (unless the competition progresses past 20 weeks). In the event that this happens, and you do not notice before a deadline passes, then you will be removed from the competition.
8. Game weeks will be based on full rounds of fixtures – usually the weekend and Monday games, but may have exceptions over the Christmas period and some planned midweek games
9. An update will be issued each round. Once the final selection has been submitted an update will be posted to the blog and also emailed (even if this is before the deadline). Once an update has been published then you cannot change your selection.
10. In the event of a match involving your selection being postponed (after you have made your selection), BEFORE the round deadline, then you will need to pick a replacement team before the deadline. Failure to provide a replacement selection will mean you will get the default selection instead (as per rule 6). If a game is postponed after the round deadline has passed and a player has picked one of the teams involved then they will get a bye to the next round. However, that team will no longer be available for selection in subsequent rounds. If 3 or more games in a round are postponed before a selection deadline is reached, then the round will be voided and the game will continue with the next planned round. If 3 or more games are cancelled after a deadline has passed, the round will only be voided if teams have been picked involving the postponed games. Once a postponement is confirmed then the teams involved can no longer be selected. The pot cannot be won by winning with a selection involving a postponed match. In such an event, the person still standing would play an additional round and would need to win that next round to take the pot. Failure to win that round would result in the pot rolling over to the next game.
11. In the event of a match being abandoned during play and a player has picked one of the teams involved then they will get a bye to the next round – regardless of the time and score of the match. However, that team will no longer be available for selection in subsequent rounds. The pot cannot be won by winning with a selection involving an abandoned match. In such an event, the person still standing would play an additional round and would need to win that next round to take the pot. Failure to win that round would result in the pot rolling over to the next game.
12. Should less than five participants remain standing and all are eliminated in the same week then the prize pot will be equally shared among them.
13. Should two or more participants remain standing after the final league games of the season then the prize pot will be equally shared among them.
14. If five or more participants remain standing and all are eliminated in the same week then the game will end with no winner of the prize pot. If this scenario arises the pot will roll over to the next game.
15. In the event of a rollover pot any player who was not in the game where the pot was rolled over will have to pay a double fee to take part in the rollover game.
