The last round of games took place last weekend in the League Cup, along with the 3rd Round of the Knockout Cup. Managed to find a bit of time this morning before I head out to update the scores.
The results and draw for the Knockout Cup can be viewed here. Two ties need a replay (both finished 4-4) and this replays are this coming weekend.
The group stage of the League Cup is now complete. Results, final tables and the draw for the Round of 16 can be viewed here. A quick summary below.
GROUP A
Christopher Grierson was already confirmed as group winner. Shaun Magee played Matthew Saveall in a winner takes all! Unfortunately for Shaun, he forgot to put scores in so Matthew takes 2nd place.
GROUP B
Lauren Haigh was already group winner with Albert Au confirmed in 2nd.
GROUP C
Michael Grierson beat David Hayhoe to take top spot. The winner of the tie between Lisa Ormesher and Martin Grierson would take the other spot – a draw confirmed Lisa in 2nd.
GROUP D
Ross Milton had already qualified. John Roberts needed to win his last game and hope for a big defeat fire Richard Gibbons. Richard’s win saw him take 2nd place.
GROUP E
Paul Murphy had already qualified. Michael Thomas and Steve Smith played each other in the last game – with Michael needing to win to take 2nd place away from Steve. However, a 4-4 draw saw Steve qualify.
GROUP F
This was a very close group – with Andrew Carter, Melvin Pool and Paul Barlow vying for the top two places. Andrew’s win over Melvin and Paul’s win over Cameron Green sees Andrew and Paul take the top two spaces.
GROUP G
Peter Carroll and Lynsey Harrison had both qualified. Lynsey’s defeat confirmed Peter as Group winner.
GROUP H
David Nicholls had already qualified as group winner. Peter Wooldridge win over Graham Healey confirmed him in 2nd place.
