The final of the League Cup competition took place over the weekend of 27/28 April.
It was contested between Paul Maiden and Shaun McGee. The final finished 8-8 – both players forecast Everton to beat Brentford 2-1, Newcastle to beat Sheffield United 3-1 and Arsenal to beat Spurs 2-1 – they also forecast that Manchester City would beat Nottingham Forest. This meant they earned 8 points each.
They will now replay next weekend (4/5 May). In the event of the relay being drawn then the golden goal rule will come into play.
