Right, I had a note in my calendar for the final this weekend. Went to update the score and noticed I had missed updating after the semi-finals! The semi-finals of the Knockout Cup competition took place over the weekend of 6 April. Both ties were settled at the first attempt:
Linda Maiden – 4
Paul Murphy – 9
Matthew Kitching – 4
Stephen Corbett – 2
That meant the final, on weekend of 4th May was to be contested between Paul Murphy and Matthew Kitching. Matthew forecast that Newcastle, Manchester City and Chelsea would win – scoring 6 points. Paul, however, also predicted them 3 results as well as a draw in the Brentford/Fulham game and a win for Liverpool, scoring 10 points and winning the final.
Congratulations and £75 to Paul – commisserations and £25 to Matthew. Prizes to be paid out at the end of the season.
