14th-15th September
We were down to single figures as we hit Round 11, with just 8 players still standing. Just two different teams were picked in this round. No one could pick Arsenal, Brentford, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle or Tottenham.
On Saturday, in the 3pm games, Brighton welcomed Ipswich down to the Amex – Dave Brown, David Hayhoe, Gerry Doherty, Jackie Milton and Kevin Robinson had picked the Seagulls but a goalless draw sees them drop out. Crystal Palace hosted Leicester at Selhurst Park – Chris Mowles, Martin Grierson and Steve Smith had picked the Eagles and they also go out after a 2-2 draw. les, Martin Grierson and Steve Smith have picked the Eagles.
A reminder that this game was a continuation from the final game of last season and had been “won” with 33 players still standing at the end of the season, but 30 players voted to continue. As such, the £932 prize pot is now shared by the last 8 players – £116.50 to each of them! A full update can be viewed here.
