LMS – Game 3 – Round 7

Web Site LMS Rules LMS Hall of Fame

24th-26th February

We are down to just the last 6 players for Round 7. A reminder that if all 6 players were to drop out at this stage then we would have our first ever rollover game. Three different teams have been picked in this round – nobody could pick Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Luton Town, Manchester City and Tottenham.

On Saturday, in the 3pm games, Crystal Palace welcome Burnley to Selhurst Park – Robin Horsler is hoping for a new manager bounce for the Eagles. Manchester United face Fulham at Old Trafford – Adele Ward and Damian Walsh have picked United.
On Sunday, Wolves take on bottom of the table Sheffield United at Molineux – Gemma Jackson, Hayley Beaton and Kenny Rogers have picked Wolves.

Good luck to all 6 players – Robin is the only player who could potentially win the pot in this round. Deadline for Round 8 will be 12pm on FRIDAY 1st March.  A full update can be viewed here.

17th-19th February

We were down to just the last 11 players for Round 6. Six different teams were picked in this round – nobody could pick Liverpool.

On Saturday, in the 3pm games, Burnley hosted Arsenal at Turfmoor – Adele Ward, Damian Walsh and Kenny Rogers were hoping the Gunners keep up their impressive form and they did, with a 5-0 win. Newcastle faced Bournemouth at St James’ Park – Dave Nicholls, Joey O’Brien, John Roberts and Steve Smith were hoping for a win for the Toon but a 2-2 draw puts them out. Nottingham Forest took on West Ham at the City Ground – Robin Horsler was putting faith in his own team to beat the Hammers and he will be doubly delighted with a 2-0 win! Tottenham played Wolves at the Tottenham stadium – Jackie Milton had picked Spurs but a 2-1 defeat sees her drop out.
On Sunday, bottom of the table Sheffield United faced Brighton at Bramhall Lane – Hayley Beaton was hoping the Blades weren’t party poopers for a 2nd week running as she had picked Brighton – and a 5-0 win sees her ease through. In the later game, Luton welcomed Manchester United to Kenilworth Road – Gemma Jackson had picked United and goes through with a 2-1 win.

5 players drop out leaving 6 players still standing for Round 7. I am at a funeral on Friday morning so deadline for Round 7 is 7pm on THURSDAY 22nd February. Burnley took on Fulham at Turfmoor – Craig Milton had picked Fulham but he goes out after another late equaliser and a 2-2 draw. In the tea-time game, Sheffield United welcomed Aston Villa to Bramhall Lane – Damian Walsh, Gemma Jackson, Hayley Beaton and Lynn Storer had picked the Villa. No pick was submitted by Dave Latham so he got Villa by default. They go through after a 5-0 win.

Chelsea faced Wolves at Stamford Bridge – Dave Goodall, Gary Storer, Jenny Rothwell and Paul Barlow had picked Chelsea and a 4-2 defeat sees them drop out.
