Super 6 Cups Update

The 3rd Round of the Knockout Cup took place over the weekend 16th/17th December.
One tie required a replay, which was this weekend, 23rd December:
7 – Michael Grierson
9 – Stephen Corbett

Results and fixtures can be viewed here. Quarter finals to be played over the weekend of 2nd March.

The 10th (and final) round of group fixtures took place over the weekend of 23rd December.

Results and updated tables can be viewed here, along with the draw for the knockout round which will resume in March.

LMS – GAME 3 – NEW GAME!!!

Game 2 of this season is now concluded – congratulations to Peter Carter, who has just won £550, courtesy of Tottenham’s win over Everton (and Villa’s misfortune of drawing with Sheffield United!)!! That’s £1135 already paid out in prize money this season.

It’s now time to look ahead and start Game 3! I will be kicking this new game off this coming weekend, 30th December. Hopefully not too many people will miss this invite – not many email addresses appear to be work ones.

Most of you should know the rules by now – but for those that haven’t played before you pay £5 entry fee and have to pick a team that you think will win their game in a given round of games – if they win, you progress to the next round (lose or draw and you are out!). You can’t pick the same team more than once – the last man standing takes the prize pot. A full set of rules can be viewed here, previous games and winners can be viewed here

Deadline for entering this new game is Friday 29th December at 7pm. Send your entry fee across and drop me an email with your pick for Round 1 before the deadline (details at the foot of this mail). Any queries, drop me a message. First 4 rounds of fixtures are below – you can plan ahead a bit more by checking the Premier League fixtures page. Feel free to share with anyone you think might be interested – more entries = a bigger pot!

LMS – Game 2 – Winner!!

Web Site LMS Rules LMS Hall of Fame

21st-24th December

11 players were still standing for Round 7. Three different teams were picked this week.

On Friday night, Aston Villa were looking to extend their home winning run to 15 games as they welcomed Sheffield United to Villa Park – 9 players had picked Villa but they crash out with a 1-1 draw.
On Saturday, in the 3pm games, Fulham hosted Burnley at Craven Cottage – Carl Jackson had picked the Cottagers but a 2-0 win for Burnley kicked Carl out. Tottenham faced Everton at the Tottenham stadium – Peter Carter was hoping that Spurs could end Everton’s winning streak, which they did with a 2-1 win!

So, Peter Carter takes the £550 prize pot – a nice little bonus on Christmas Eve!!! We were a VAR decision away from our first ever rollover jackpot but a disallowed Everton goal saw to that. I will mail separately about starting Game 3. A full update can be viewed here.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!!

LMS – Game 2 – Round 7

21st-24th December

11 players are still standing for Round 7. Three different teams have been picked this week – nobody could pick Arsenal. Luton remain the only team yet to be picked. After last week’s abandoned match, a new rule (11) has been added to the rules to cover such a scenario in the future.

On Friday night, Aston Villa are looking to extend their home winning run to 15 games as they welcome Sheffield United to Villa Park – 9 players have picked Villa (and they now join Arsenal as no longer pickable).
If Villa fail to win that that leaves potential for someone to take the jackpot on Saturday. In the 3pm games, Fulham host Burnley at Craven Cottage – Carl Jackson has picked the Cottagers. Tottenham face Everton at the Tottenham stadium – Peter Carter is hoping that Spurs can ended Everton’s winning streak.

A reminder that Round 8 starts on Boxing Day – I want to be able to switch off a bit over Christmas so deadline for Round 8 will be 6pm on SUNDAY 24th December (Christmas Eve!) – which is only a couple of hours after Round 7 completes (although no-one has picked from the Wolves v Chelsea game so you should have at least 24 hours to consider your decision!). Round 9 will follow on quickly with a normal Friday lunchtime deadline. Feel free to submit multiple rounds in advance. A full update can be viewed here.
