Had a chance now to re-look at the dates after the recent postponements.
When I originally picked the dates for fixtures, I tried to avoid midweek rounds of games, the Christmas & New Year period and any clashes with FA Cup weekends. In the past, for midweek rounds of games, the official site usually makes it a double week, but with the midweek round of games played at the end of August, it was treated as a separate round. I have looked on the official site and they appear to have midweek rounds etc as separate gameweeks. So based on that, I have been able to use these type of rounds after all. The competition now kicks off this coming weekend so check your team and use your transfers wisely (bearing in mind you will get points deducted for any over your free transfers)!
Full revised list of dates is below:
Round 1 – 1st October
Round 2* – 8th October
Round 3 – 15th October
Round 4 – 18th October (midweek)

Back from holidays and only just had a chance to catch up on my footy admin today.
As previously advised, the opening round of games in the Super 6 League Cup took place over the weekend of 17th September (Round 9).
Results and tables have been updated and can be viewed here. The 5 groups with 5 players will always have someone with a blank weekend – this opening weekend that was Paul Grice, Ian OBrien, Cameron Green, Lee Abbott and Trevor Faulkner.
The next set of fixtures is this coming weekend – 1st October (Round 10). Don’t forget to update your predictions (especially Peter Donnelly, David Hayhoe and Richard Gibbons who didn’t in Round 9!!)!!
I provided an update last week, detailing this cup competition and then the Queen goes and spoils it by dying and getting this week’s Premier league fixtures cancelled!
I am going away for 10 days from Sunday, the competition was meant to start with this weekend’s fixtures so I will have to relook at dates now. If the Premier League fixtures planned for 16-18 September go ahead then that will become the 1st set of fixtures and I will take it from there. If they are cancelled (as seems to be expected) then we will have to wait til the start of October for this to progress.
I’ll provide an update when I am back and should have a clearer position!
